How to download and install Acrobat DC on Windows
Acrobat DC subscribers
If you've purchased Acrobat Pro DC or Standard DC as a subscription, follow the instructions below to download, install, and activate Acrobat DC on your computer.
- Visit https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/tools/ and sign in to your Adobe account.
- After you sign in, the Adobe Acrobat page appears. Click All Tools. In the list of apps, choose Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and then click Download.
Note:
A binary setup file is downloaded. It's not a complete installer. When you run the file, the actual download and installation starts.
- Based on which browser you're using, follow the instructions below:
Chrome
You can see the downloaded exe file in the lower-left corner of the browser window. Double-click the exe file, and skip to the next step.
Firefox
a. You see a file download prompt. Click Save File.
b. You can see the downloaded exe file by clicking the Show All Downloads icon in the upper-right corner of the window. Double-click the exe file, and skip to the next step.
Note:
Press Ctrl+J to open the Firefox Library dialog box. You can see the downloaded .exe file under Downloads.
Internet Explorer
You see a prompt at the bottom of the window asking you to Save or Run the file. Click Run and then skip to the next step.
Note:
If you cannot locate the downloaded file, open Windows Explorer and then select the Downloads folder in the left navigation pane. Double-click the downloaded setup file.
- The User Account Control prompt appears. Click Yes.
The installer starts downloading and installing Acrobat.
- In the Let's Get Started dialog box, click Continue.
- The Check your browser dialog box is displayed. A new browser tab is opened for you to sign in to your Adobe account. Follow onscreen instructions in the browser's tab.
- After successful sign-in, choose your Acrobat skill level from the drop-down list and click Continue.
- The installation starts and takes a few minutes to complete.
After the installation is complete, Acrobat DC opens automatically. If prompted, sign in to your Adobe account.
